This November marks the beginning of a window of opportunity seldom available to us. Beginning November 8th and lasting for a little over a year, the planet Jupiter will be making an ingress into his home sign of Sagittarius. Jupiter, the planet of vision, opportunity, adventure, and good fortune, wishes to see things grow and come to fruition in our lives. He represents the faith and trust required to take a leap into the unknown.
Jupiter transits his home sign of Sagittarius every twelve years, but what makes this such a rare window of opportunity is that for the entirety of this transit, a place where he and his noble goals are empowered, Saturn will also be occupying one of his home signs, Capricorn. The Great Benefic and the Great Malefic taking their rightful place at the throne.
While Jupiter opens doors for expansion and growth, Saturn limits restricts and demands that we make gains by taking careful and deliberate steps. Jupiter is inspired while Saturn reminds us to be practical. We are entering a period where each of these two planets are given the license to function at full strength, doing what they do for the betterment of us all.
Saturn, in the earth sign of Capricorn, wishes to use his strengths to bring forth tangible results. Jupiter, when in the fiery and expansive sign of Sagittarius, extends beyond the physical and aims to push against the boundary of our current level of consciousness. What this reflects in our personal lives is a period where we are allowed the fiery spark of inspiration to bring light to new ideas and the optimism to back it up. And Saturn will see to it that these creative seeds settle into the earth and grow with time.
General Theme of The Month Ahead – Queen of Pentacles
The Queen of Pentacles ushers in the first month of this opportune period with her love for abundance and her warm and generous spirit. While she has no qualms about luxuriating, she also is very grounded in reality. She sees to it that we are on a practical and realistic path. She personifies the union of the opposing forces mentioned above – aligning the desire for growth and expansion with the need for a step-by-step action plan.
Inspiration is a resource that can be brought into manifestation through her practicality and nurturing ways, through the sacrifices she is willing to make. November is a month where we can take the first steps towards achieving our goals. This is accomplished by utilizing common sense and focused dedication to nurturing them into existence.
We can think of the Queen of Pentacles as a nurturing quality cradling us while also championing our cause. She encourages our growth while at the same time helping us to stay practical.
Physical – The Chariot Rx
The Chariot is a card of forwarding movement through the focused will and confidence required to overcome obstacles. Through our will to succeed and our determination to see things through, we are able to beat the odds and gain the object of our desire. If our will is focused and appropriately channeled, we have a great and powerful force backing us up on our mission to succeed. Therefore, the overriding quality of this card is one of coming out on top and taking one's place on the pedestal of achievement.
For the month of November, the Chariot has shown up reversed. Remember, Jupiter provides us with the opportunities and the higher levels of consciousness required to act in inspired ways. Saturn slows us down and reminds us there is a process involved in manifestation. To see the Chariot reversed in the position of what we are capable of physically manifesting reminds us that time is a component that cannot be overlooked in the act of creation. Don't allow yourself to become discouraged if the result of inspired action is not instantaneous.
Mental/Intellectual – 4 of Pentacles
The 4 of Pentacles is related to the Chariot through the ego, our will. The Chariot sets his will on achievement. The 4 of Pentacles uses its will to keep what it already has. It is the representation of our desire to control.
This desire to control and maintain possession over what it has is taking place in the mental or intellectual position. Therefore, this is linked more to the mind than the world manifest. It is a mindstate, one that could potentially be fear-based.
This fear-based mentality has the capacity to actually block the flow of inspired energy that is available to us at this time. If you take a look at the card, you will see the figure is holding onto four Pentacles. He isn't simply supporting them in his hands, he seems to be protectively grasping them.
Look at the difference between the way the Queen of Pentacles gently cradles her pentacle and the way this merchant clutches them as if his stability depended on it. This fear-based relationship with the physical is actually blocking the inspiration from the Heavens, keeping him solely inhabiting the density of the material world.
This is no place for our intellect to be operating. Be careful of greed, fear, and the desire to control our physical reality from blocking us from the growth and expansion available to us at this time.
Work on freeing the mind from these constraints. Open the channel of the Divine with your mental faculties so our thoughts can better become creative ones rather than anxious ones.
Emotional/Spiritual – King of Cups
The King of Cups is one of the two rulers of the realm of emotions. He is the active ruler that administers and directs his will. He is well qualified for this position because he has a deep and vast understanding of himself and how the world of emotions operates.
The King of Cups knows what he is feeling and understands its source. He doesn't allow what he feels so strongly to become blocked in his energetic body; they move through him before they are able to become trapped emotional patterns or imprints. This is what qualifies him to rule. This is how he is able to lead responsibly. This is the way in which he is able to lead the others in his kingdom to eventually arrive at the same level of emotional maturity.
This emotionally mature archetype available to us at this time offers us the strength to confront any mental blockages that might be restricting our ability to mentally connect with the Divine consciousness. The fear-based mentality of the 4 of Pentacles cannot take hold if the King of Cups is leading the way.
Available to us at this time are the emotional and spiritual faculties required to direct our lives in a calm and focused manner. Hot-headedness, impulsivity, egotistical willfulness, greed, fear, and possessiveness are replaced with heart-centered composure. We have available at this time a greater capacity to intuit what we need to create and grow what we wish to see in our lives while at the same time, the patience and composure to allow things to unfold according to their own time.
Have a beautiful month. Dream big!
